After 8 successful years of bringing queer stories to Calgary The Coming Out Monologues is starting a project in sunny Lethbridge, Alberta. We are joining the Pride Fest festivities and adding a night of story and celebration to this Alberta community.

We are looking for local Lethbridge performers and volunteers. If you are interested please contact us (contact form is below). Interested but not too sure? Connect with us and find out more about the project. Read our FAQ’s below.

We had our information session & auditions early on in February. Did you miss it? Don’t worry, we’d love to hear from you. Fill out the form below and let’s connect. Please note, it may take a couple days for us to respond.

Are you intimidated by the word audition? Don’t be! It’s a loose term. Read our FAQ’s below.

If you’ve got a story – we’ve got a stage!

Audition FAQs:
Q: Do I have to have a fully written monologue for the audition?
A: No! We ask that you come with a general idea of your story and what you want to share (a pitch, if you will) and give us an idea of what you want to bring to the stage. Throughout the process, we have writing and performance workshops to help you craft a piece that is ready for the stage.

Q: I’ve never been on stage or performed before. Can I still take part?
A: Yes! Most of our performers have little to no stage experience, and we work with you to help get you ready for the stage.

Q: I don’t really like speaking, but I have a dance/song/other form of work that I would like to showcase, can I still take part?
A: Definitely! We encourage all forms of expression to come and be a part of our performances.

Q: I am an ally, does that mean I am not able to perform?
A: Not at all! We welcome ally pieces every year and love to hear diverse perspectives of experiences.

Questions? Feel free to post in the event, or contact us at, please put “Lethbride” in the subject line.

We hope to see you there!
